Learning & working at Lercher

Teaching without emptiness

Working and learning in a family business with a young team, with the latest high-tech machines and exciting additional benefits (see Benefits).

What do we actually do here?

At Lercher, the latest CNC machines are used to create molds from metal blocks, which later give a plastic part its appearance - similar to the Guglhupf mold that gives the liquid dough its cake shape. In our industry, these metal molds are called "injection molds" because the finished mold is then clamped one floor higher in one of our 49 injection molding machines. Here in the plastics department, liquid plastic is then injected into these metal molds. The result is a finished plastic part, e.g. for kitchen furniture, cars, medical technology, electronics and much more. We produce more than 1.5 billion parts every year. Almost every plastic part that you deal with in everyday life (from cell phone housings to toothpaste caps) is produced in this way. That's why you'll be a sought-after professional after completing your apprenticeship.
