Open day 2026!

We look forward to seeing you on April 10 this year.

On this one day only, you can come in, take a look around, and—exclusively—have your own lunch box and garden shovel made for the summer days. We can't wait to see you!

You don't have to come to us with a finished design drawing. Together with an external development team, we help you to turn a technical problem solution into a market-ready product or product optimization.

Our in-house design department uses CAD simulation to anticipate the production of your injection molded part. The product design and the necessary tool architecture can be optimized in this way before even the first metal chip flies in the CNC system.

We accompany you all the way to series production and offer you everything from a single source, under one roof, with one contact person:

  • Analysis, project plan and pre-development
  • CAD design of component and tool
  • Shape and tolerance analyses
  • Injection molding and filling simulation
  • FEM calculation
  • Design of packaging systems
  • Near-series prototyping / rapid prototyping tools
  • Production planning

Based on this, we then manufacture your product in-house in close cooperation with you:

  • Toolmaking
  • Plastic injection molding (also robot-assisted in the clean room)
  • Component assembly
  • packaging

In our state-of-the-art tool shop, injection moulding tools weighing up to 5 tons are produced on the latest machines.

We have access to the following technologies:

  • Fully air-conditioned production
  • Fully digitalized workflow from design to the machine
  • 5-axis CNC milling and turning center (including DMU 210µ)
  • Die-sinking and wire erosion (with in-house electrode production)
  • HSC system
  • Non-circular, profile and surface grinding machines
  • Tool assembly and maintenance
  • Measuring room
  • High-bay warehouse (1800 pallet spaces) for your tools, among other things

We manufacture a wide variety of tools:

  • stack molds
  • Multi-component molds
  • Multi-cavity molds
  • Clean room molds
  • Overmolding tools
  • Die casting AL, MG, ZN
  • hydroforming tools
  • Prototype tools

Our contract manufacturing at your service:

  • 5-axis milling (up to max. 1800 x 2000mm)
  • 5-axis turning-milling (bar capacity 65mm, 1000mm center distance)
  • HSC milling (5-axis simultaneous up to 65 HRC, highest surface quality RA 0.2)
  • Separate graphite machine
  • Profile, cylindrical and non-circular grinding
  • Surface grinding (up to 1500 x 1000mm)
  • Die sinking and wire erosion
  • 3D coordinate measurement

Quality assurance at all levels, in all processes:

  • Validated processes, monitoring system
  • risk management
  • Initial sample test reports
  • Tests during series production
  • Air-conditioned measuring room (including 3D measuring machine)
  • Certifications
    • ISO 9001
    • ISO 13485 (medical)

Samples, pilot series and large series are produced in our high-performance plastic injection moulding facility. More than 1.4 billion precision plastic parts leave our production facility every year.
The performance data:

  • 49 injection molding machines
  • partly with robot removal or robot handling (6-axis)
  • Robot-supported clean room production (class 8)
  • Clamping forces from 60 to 500 tons
  • 3-shift operation (24/7)
  • Processing of all common thermoplastics (also with up to 60% glass fiber content)
  • Composite materials, bio-plastics
  • MIM (metal injection molding)
  • Overmolding
  • "Foaming
  • for clean surfaces on large visible parts
  • Shot volume up to 1700 cm3
  • Parts from 0.5 to 400 mm in size

Prototyping (3D printing)

We can offer you various processes - depending on the application. Please ask for details or advantages and disadvantages of the respective technology.

  • FDM (material extrusion)
  • SLA (stereolithography)
  • SLS (Selective Laser Sintering)
  • AFK (Arburg Freeformer)

Prototype series

Suitable for prototypes, pre-series and small quantities. The mold insert for your product is installed in a master mold from Lercher, which we "lend" to you for production. You only pay for the mold insert. We provide the mold "around it" and the peripherals. Your plastic part is then produced on a mass production machine.

  • Realizable from 1 piece
  • Customized mould insert according to your 3D data
  • Can be realized in any plastic
  • Delivery time approx. 6 weeks

Technical center

Unusual for a company of our size: the technical center is an important "gateway" between toolmaking and plastic injection moulding. Here, our process engineers test every tool on series machines (Arburg and Engel) and optimize it if necessary. Only then is it released for mass/series production.

Downstream production stages

  • Manual, partially or fully automated assembly (e.g. of assemblies)
  • Joining, welding, UDI-compliant labeling, etc.
  • Packaging

Quality assurance at all levels, in all processes:

  • Validated processes, monitoring system
  • risk management
  • Initial sample test reports
  • Tests during series production
  • Air-conditioned measuring room (including 3D measuring machine)
  • Certifications
    • ISO 9001
    • ISO 13485 (medical)

Our subsidiary "Lercher Medical GmbH" concentrates exclusively on the production of precision plastic parts for medical technology and the pharmaceutical industry - in cleanroom quality (class 8).

  • In-house design and toolmaking
  • 49 plastic injection molding machines
  • Robot-supported cleanroom production (class 8)
  • UDI (unique device identification) and traceability "molded in"
  • Assembly of components
  • Joining, welding, UDI-compliant labeling, etc.
  • Packaging in final packaging/protective packaging
  • Sterilization (EO and gamma sterilization)

Traceability (UDI) thanks to integrated RFID chip.

The UDI specification of the European Union requires complete traceability of medical products. We solve this task automatically in the injection molding process. A multiple micro RFID (1x1mm) is injected into the mold together with the plastic. It contains the "DNA" of the injection molded part and can be read via an RFID reader including an app.

We are your troubleshooter.

Many of our long-standing customer relationships began with an acute problem for which large mass producers did not want to interrupt their established routines. Or because they didn't have the broad range of services under one roof that Lercher does.
It starts with a prototype and may eventually lead to mass production. In any case, Lercher is your partner all along the way - small enough for individuality, large enough for precision in the millions.

  • Assessment and (if necessary) optimization of existing customer tools
  • Detailed exchange of information on upcoming issues
  • Joint identification, analysis and documentation of your requirements and the resulting production challenges
  • Quick decisions on possible solution concepts
  • Knowledge transfer from an "old hand" in production to your project team

Quality assurance at all levels, in all processes:

  • Validated processes, monitoring system
  • risk management
  • Initial sample test reports
  • Tests during series production
  • Air-conditioned measuring room (including 3D measuring machine)
  • Certifications
    • ISO 9001
    • ISO 13485 (medical)

What do we actually do here?

At Lercher, the latest CNC machines are used to create molds from metal blocks, which later give a plastic part its appearance - similar to the Guglhupf mold that gives the liquid dough its cake shape. These metal molds are called "injection molds" in our industry, because the finished mold is then clamped one floor higher in one of our 49 injection molding machines. Here in the plastics department, liquid plastic is then injected into these metal molds. The result is a finished plastic part, e.g. for kitchen furniture, cars, medical technology, electronics and much more. We produce more than 1.5 billion parts every year. Almost every plastic part that you deal with in everyday life (from cell phone housings to toothpaste caps) is produced in this way. That's why you'll be a sought-after professional after completing your apprenticeship.
